Dr. Hazem Hashem is an American Board Consultant Psychiatrist with over 30 years of experience. He graduated from Al Azhar University Medical School, Cairo, Egypt in 1980. He received clinical training in New York and Connecticut, USA and completed Psychiatry training in 1991. He received board certification in General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 1992 and Forensic Psychiatry Board in 1996. Dr. Hazem Hashem practiced in Connecticut and California until the end of 2011, then worked in Qatar till the end of 2020. He held the position of Chairman of Department of Psychiatry in Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar and Chief of Mental Health in Department of Correction in California. Academically, he held teaching positions with University of California, Davis, California and Weill Cornell University, Doha campus.
