درس الدكتور خالد عوض طب القلب التداخلي وفسيولوجيا كهربائية القلب في مراحل تكوينه التخصصي، ثم جمع بين المجالين في ممارسته السريرية الحالية. يعمل استشاريًا لطب القلب التداخلي وفسيولوجيا كهربائية القلب في مركز كليمنصو الطبي بدبي، حيث يعالج اضطرابات نظم القلب ومرض الشرايين التاجية. تشمل أعماله التداخلية معالجة الحالات التاجية المعقدة بالقسطرة، ودراسة فسيولوجيا الشرايين التاجية بتقنيات حديثة منها Coroventis، إضافة إلى إغلاق ثغرة القناة البيضية وإغلاق أذين القلب الأيسر. ويقدم متابعة متخصصة لخفقان القلب والسرعات غير المشخصة باستخدام تطبيقات وأجهزة معتمدة. كما يجري استئصال النظم الشاذ فوق البطيني والبطيني بما في ذلك تسرع القلب والأضلاع الخارجية. وله خبرة في زرع منظومات تنظيم ضربات القلب ومزيلات الرجفان وأجهزة قصور القلب المتخصصة، مع المعالجة التنافرية القلبية والتحفيز عبر مسارات التوصيل الفسيولوجية. ويعالج قصور القلب بخطط دوائية وأجهزة وفق التوصيات الإرشادية، بما يشمل قياس معاوقة سوائل الرئة. ويكمل التصوير الدوبلري للأوعية الشريانية والوريدية في الرأس والرقبة والأطراف العليا والسفلى نطاق تشخيصه. يتحدث الدكتور خالد عوض العربية والإنجليزية والفرنسية والألمانية والروسية والتركية، وله عشرون عامًا في المجال الطبي.
