At Al Tadawi Specialty Hospital, Dr. Basem Hatem serves as a Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon and Head of Department. Orthopedic surgery is his field, with a focus on total joint replacement of the hip and knee, including revision procedures when an earlier implant needs to be exchanged. He also manages upper and lower limb trauma and fractures, open fractures and complicated injuries, and the orthopedic side of multiple trauma care, where damage control techniques help stabilize patients before definitive treatment. Limb lengthening and the restoration of normal bone form another part of his work, along with pediatric trauma and fracture management. Chronic ligamentous injuries are treated as well, whether through conservative measures, pain management, or surgical repair.
