Dr. Brankica Vasiljevic has spent more than three decades caring for the smallest patients, beginning with her medical degree at the University of Belgrade School of Medicine in 1989. Since then, she has built extensive experience in paediatrics and neonatology, completing her neonatology sub-specialisation and a PhD on early indicators of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy in newborns. Today she practises as a Consultant Neonatologist at Al Tadawi Specialty Hospital. Her clinical focus spans antenatal counselling, neonatal resuscitation and neuroprotection, and the management of extremely immature or critically unwell newborns. She also handles parenteral and enteral nutrition, growth monitoring, neonatal jaundice treatment including exchange transfusion, and long-term follow-up of NICU graduates. Committed to safety and quality improvement, she remains involved in neonatal research. Dr. Vasiljevic speaks English, Serbian and Croatian.
