Dr. Bassem Badr is a Consultant Psychiatrist practising at Al Tadawi Specialty Hospital, where he supports patients through a wide range of mental health concerns. He holds a Master of Science in Neuropsychiatry, a Diploma of Psychiatry and Addiction Practice endorsed by the World Health Organization, and diplomas in Mental Health and Hospital Administration. He is a Dubai Health Authority licensed consultant psychiatrist, a Health Authority of Abu Dhabi licensed consultant psychiatrist, and an International Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. His clinical interests span depressive disorders such as major depressive disorder and dysthymia, bipolar disorder, anxiety conditions including generalized anxiety, panic and social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders, personality disorders, substance use and dependence, eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, ADHD across children, adolescents and adults, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, sleep apnea and adjustment-related difficulties. Fluent in Arabic and English, he offers care to a diverse community of patients.
