Critical illness rarely follows a predictable path, and Dr. Vikas Bhagat has built his practice around that reality. As a consultant in Critical Care Medicine, he reads each patient's condition closely and adjusts treatment as the clinical picture changes, working with families who are often making decisions under enormous pressure. Twenty-two years in medicine have shaped that approach, including training in anaesthesiology that informs how he manages airways, sedation and organ support. He holds an MBBS, an MD in Anaesthesiology and a DM in Critical Care Medicine, along with the European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine. At Canadian Specialist Hospital he serves as Head of Department, Critical Care Medicine, leading the unit while remaining at the bedside. He speaks English and Hindi, which helps him explain complex situations to patients and relatives in plain terms. Dr. Bhagat studied at Nilratan Sircar Medical College.
