Breathlessness, persistent cough, and sleep-related breathing problems shape much of Dr. Walid Mohamad Sherif's daily practice. As a Consultant Pulmonary Disease at Clemenceau Medical Center Dubai, he cares for adults living with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchiectasis, and interstitial lung diseases. His approach begins with listening closely, then using pulmonary function testing and, when needed, diagnostic bronchoscopy to reach a clear diagnosis. Fifteen years in pulmonology have taught him that breathlessness often has more than one cause, so he also assesses ventilatory impairments, lower respiratory tract infections, and obesity hypoventilation syndrome with equal care.
